MycoCopy privacy policy

MycoCopy is a Windows application published by Mushroom Cyber that copies files between locations on your own computer and network.
The short version
MycoCopy does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information. It has no accounts of its own, no analytics, no advertising, and no telemetry.
MycoCopy makes exactly one kind of network request: it asks the Microsoft Store whether your licence is a trial or a purchase, so the free trial can end. That request goes to Microsoft, not to us. It carries nothing about you, your files, your folder names, or your transfers, and it happens when the app starts and when you press Buy.
Microsoft Store handles purchases and licence checks; we never see your payment details.
What MycoCopy stores, and where
Everything MycoCopy saves stays on your computer, under
%LocalAppData%\MycoCopy:

These records include the file and folder paths you chose to transfer, because that is what makes history and re-runs useful. They never leave your machine.
You can delete all of it at any time:
- Settings → Open data folder, then delete the contents, or
- History → Clear history and Settings → Log files to keep to trim logs.
Uninstalling MycoCopy through Windows removes this data.
Network access
MycoCopy does not connect to the internet. It can copy files
to and from network locations you specify (for example a NAS at
\\server\share), because that is the feature you asked for — those
transfers go directly between your computer and that destination, and nowhere
else.
Microsoft Store
Purchases, licences, and updates are handled by the Microsoft Store under Microsoft's privacy statement. MycoCopy asks the Store whether your licence is valid; it does not receive or store your identity, payment method, or contact details.
Crash reporting
MycoCopy can record a crash report to help diagnose a problem, but only if you turn it on. This setting is off by default (Settings → Diagnostics).
When enabled, crash reports are written to a file on your own computer
(%LocalAppData%\MycoCopy\crashes) and are
never transmitted anywhere — MycoCopy has no telemetry. Before a
report is written, every file and folder path in it is replaced with a
placeholder, so the report stays safe to share if you choose to send it to us.
You can read, export, or delete these reports at any time from the same Settings
page.
Children
MycoCopy is a general-purpose utility, is not directed at children, and collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
Material changes will be published here and noted in the app's release notes, with the date above updated.
